Introduction
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Product Manager, Internal AI to lead the effort to build transformative internal tools and platforms. This role is pivotal in leveraging Generative AI and Machine Learning to significantly enhance operational efficiency, automate critical business processes, and dramatically improve data delivery across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate will drive the definition and adoption of cutting-edge AI technologies, focusing specifically on Agentic AI to create automated workflows in high-value areas like Go-To-Market (GTM) and Engineering. You will work closely with a strong internal AI Engineering team and be a key user and evangelist of our internal AI orchestration platform, Opal. This is a high-impact role requiring a deep understanding of the AI ecosystem and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-release-cycle environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Internal AI Strategy & Roadmap: Define and champion a compelling product vision and roadmap for internal AI tools, aligning with enterprise-wide strategic objectives for efficiency and automation.
- Platform Leveraging & Partnership: Work in deep collaboration with the strong internal AI Engineering team, serving as the primary product voice. Maximize the utilization of Optimizely's internal AI Orchestration Platform, Opal, for the development, deployment, and management of all internal AI agents and solutions.
- Product Definition & Development: Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for internal AI solutions, translating complex business problems into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Ecosystem Expertise & Integration: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the entire internal and external AI tool landscape, including:
- Interactive User Generative Tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Copilot).
- End-User Built AI Tools (e.g., Copilot Studio, low-code/no-code platforms).
- Configured Software with embedded AI capabilities and specialized AI/ML software.
- Enterprise-Built Prompts and sophisticated Enterprise Agents.
- Transformative Automation: Identify, prioritize, and execute opportunities for transformative change by deploying Agentic AI (AI-powered agents capable of autonomous decision-making and task execution) to automate manual, high-value, and repetitive processes within GTM (e.g., sales enablement, marketing operations) and Engineering (e.g., automated testing, code generation, technical documentation).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with GTM, Engineering, Data Science, and IT teams to understand pain points, gather requirements, and facilitate seamless deployment and adoption of new tools.
- Fast-Paced Execution: Thrive in an environment with a fast-paced, fast release cycle, managing continuous iteration and rapid deployment of internal prototypes and production-ready tools.
- Success Metrics & Optimization: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the impact of internal AI solutions on efficiency, data quality, and business value; continuously monitor and iterate products based on performance data. Show clear direct impact to key business metrics.
Knowledge and Experience
- Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 2+ years focused on AI/ML-driven products, internal tools, or enterprise software solutions.
- Proven experience defining and launching products that utilize Generative AI models (LLMs/VLMs) and/or Machine Learning techniques.
- Demonstrable experience working in an agile environment with a fast-paced, fast release cycle.
- Deep familiarity with the commercial and open-source AI ecosystem, encompassing user-facing tools (Gemini, ChatGPT) and enterprise development platforms.
- Experience collaborating successfully with internal engineering or data science teams on platform development and deployment.
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical executive audiences.
- Outstanding presentation skills capable of influencing decision-makers and driving internal adoption of new technologies.
- Preferred Experience:
- Direct experience with Agentic AI frameworks and architectures for process automation.
- Experience with internal AI orchestration platforms or MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow).
- Experience in a B2B or Enterprise environment, specifically targeting efficiency improvements in Go-To-Market (GTM) and Engineering functions.
Education
