Introduction

Designation: Engineer Operations Manager II

Role: Agile Coach / Scrum Master

Business Unit: Engineering

Division: Engineering CMP

Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday (2 PM to 10 PM), Hybrid

Position Overview:

In this role, we are looking for people-oriented person. The person should enjoy working in a complex and highly technical environment where stress tolerance and communication is key to their success.

Job Responsibilities

As Engineering Operation resource and having a role of Agile Coach / Scrum Master, the person’s contribution will be in following areas (not limited to):

Agile Practices

-As Agile Coach your primary focus would be to ensure Agile / Scrum practices are maintained properly within the team level.

-Organize and facilitate day to day scrum/agile rituals like sprint planning, daily stand-up, reviews, retrospectives, demos and other Agile-related meetings as needed.

-Ensure the development team's practice the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility;

-Help team to focus on planning their development schedule considering risk, task dependencies, priorities, and major milestones implementing Scrum / Kanban / Scrumban practice;

-Implement agile project tracking tools to provide transparency on Product & Sprint Backlogs;

Efficiency in people and process

-Identify and remove impediments, prevent distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal;

-Track and communicate team velocity, performance parameter and sprint/release progress;

-Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practice;

-Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution;

-Fosters healthy dynamics between engineers within the team

-Empower teams to be self-organize;

-Improve the productivity of the teams in any way possible;

-Support team to respond quickly to shifting towards urgency and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly.

Smooth functionality of Engineering Operations

-Maintain and organize daily operations to ensure timely delivery and functional efficiency.

-Ensure operational processes and practices are well defined, documented and consistently applied.

-You will coordinate the teams in achieving goals of the Product, Engineering, Customer success, and other stakeholders.

Cross Function

-Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the business.

-Work with multiple global regions and in culturally diverse environments.

Job Requirement

Must have clear understanding of Scrum and Agile process

At least 2 years of related work experience but not more than 5 years

Best to have CSE background but not mandatory

Good to have experience in project management areas

Experience with JIRA, Git is preferable

Certification from either Scrum Org or Scrum Alliance would be an added advantage

Knowledge about software development lifecycle

Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail

High tolerance and patience towards challenging circumstances

Capable of giving effective feedback by observing and understanding people's pulse

Having not to give up mindset to achieve goal

Strong negotiation skills

Can serve as servant leader
