Natron Energy is seeking a Cell Assembly Technician for our Operations Team to assist in the assembly of battery cells. This is a hands-on position involving operating pilot line battery cell assembly equipment and working in a glove box. Qualified applicants will have prior hands-on manufacturing experience in battery, semiconductor, medical device, or similar industries. The right person for this position will have a positive, team-first attitude, carefully follow work instructions, be meticulous and detail oriented, and be willing to learn and master new skills. The person will be working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling raw materials such as chemicals and battery electrodes.
  • Operate cell manufacturing equipment, potentially including die punch, cell stacking, drying ovens, and battery test equipment.
  • Perform measurements and record data for samples, components, and cells.
  • Maintain a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Support development of new processes and products at both a pilot line and manufacturing level.
  • Work with the team to help identify opportunities for process improvement and support occasional experiments.

Experience and Skills:

  • More than 3 years of experience following and executing work instructions in a pilot or full-scale manufacturing plant that includes the use of material processing equipment or chemical handling.
  • Prior battery experience in full scale, pilot or lab settings is preferred.
  • Careful and meticulous when working with samples and when entering data.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel
  • Good attitude to teamwork is a must.

Logistics:

  • Employees must work on site in Santa Clara.
  • Shift hours are: 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm M-F

Compensation/Pay Transparency:

  • In addition, Natron Energy has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan with Match, Life Insurance, Parental Leave Benefits, Discretionary Time Off (DTO) and Paid Time Off (PTO) for Exempt and Non-Exempt employees respectively, and 11 paid holidays.
  • The salary range for this position is a minimum of $25/hr and a maximum of $35/hr.
