As the platform and company mature, this role is expected to grow to lead a team of Salesforce admins, developers, and contractors. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution—and who is excited to scale both the Salesforce system and the support team around it.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical architecture decisions, balancing custom development and third-party tools
  • Develop and enforce standards for data governance, access controls (profiles, permission sets), integration, and user experience across the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Evaluate new platform features and adjacent technologies to improve system capabilities
  • Solution Design & Execution
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions using custom objects, fields, dynamic forms, Flows, Apex, Lightning components, and APIs
  • Own and configure core Salesforce objects, external integrations, and managed packages (e.g., Pardot, ZoomInfo, LinkSquares, Grids)
  • Oversee CI/CD workflows, release management, and sandbox strategies
  • Monitor platform performance, evaluate platform release notes, test, and prepare for major releases and new features, conduct health checks, and manage proactive security and compliance reviews
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to align priorities and manage tradeoffs across departments
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor and thought partner on commercial systems strategy
  • Provide clear communication and documentation of system changes, architecture decisions, and integration patterns.
  • Team & Capability Growth
  • Mentor and guide junior admins and developers; provide code reviews and architectural coaching
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and processes as the team grows
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding efforts as team capacity expands
  • Support knowledge sharing, documentation standards, and internal training initiatives

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of biz dev, sales, and marketing processes
  • Proven success owning platform architecture and leading major Salesforce initiatives through design and implementation
  • Advanced Salesforce certifications (e.g., Application Architect, Salesforce Platform Developer, System Architect, Advanced Administrator) strongly preferred
