Job Overview
Mainspring Energy is at the forefront of developing cutting edge products and is seeking for a Process Manufacturing Engineer to support our Manufacturing Operation in Monterrey by driving optimization of production processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring efficient line design and balance. This role will focus on increasing throughput, enhancing efficiency, and supporting product changes to ensure smooth implementation in production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial and manufacturing engineering, problem-solving skills, and a data-driven mindset to enhance operational performance. Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance.
  • Design and optimize production lines, ensuring effective workflow, material flow, and labor utilization.
  • Conduct line balancing studies to improve productivity and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and other industrial engineering principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, quality, design engineering) to support changes to products and processes.
  • Develop and maintain standard work procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Support the introduction of new products and engineering changes by ensuring seamless integration into existing production processes.
  • Use time studies, simulation tools, and data analysis to make informed recommendations for process improvements.
  • Drive automation and digitalization initiatives where applicable to enhance efficiency.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives through material, labor, and process optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on manufacturing assembly processes.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of process optimization, line balancing, and production efficiency.
  • Ability to conduct time studies, process flow analysis, and capacity planning.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing automation, digital tools, and Industry 4.0 concepts is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in high-mix, low-volume or high-volume manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring systems, laser alignment tools, and GD&T principles.
  • Willing and able to travel internationally up to 15%
