At the core of our mission is the commitment to delivering scalable, decentralized defense systems that enhance the strategic capabilities of the United States and its allies. With a workforce of approximately 350 employees, we operate with startup agility and ambition.
Our vision is to redefine the future of warfare through cutting-edge manufacturing, innovation at speed, and unwavering focus on national security. We are dedicated to solving the next generation of warfare with lethal systems that deter kinetic conflict and protect global security.
The Role
We are seeking a hands-on IT Infrastructure Specialist to manage and maintain the organization's core IT infrastructure across all sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting servers, directory services, identity management, endpoint management, and backup systems while ensuring reliable day-to-day IT operations. This role will also serve as the primary on-site infrastructure resource for each location, overseeing MDF/IDF rooms, structured cabling, and the installation and maintenance of network switches and wireless access points in accordance with Network Engineering standards. Additionally, the position plays a key role in maintaining secure and consistent server and endpoint configurations, supporting configuration management, system integrity, and compliance requirements under CMMC.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer core systems: Windows Server, Active Directory and Entra ID, DNS/DHCP, file and print, virtualization, backups and restore testing, and certificates.
- Manage endpoints at scale: images, Intune or Jamf baselines, patching to SLA, encryption, EDR coverage, and Okta device-binding readiness; report coverage weekly.
- Administer Microsoft 365 (GCC High after migration) and Okta day to day.
- Be the infrastructure hands for site builds and existing sites: rack and stack, cabling, switch and AP installs, and MDF/IDF upkeep.
- Monitor and respond to incidents; run changes through change management; keep runbooks and diagrams current.
- Produce evidence for NIST SP 800-171 configuration-management, system-integrity, and media-protection controls.
- Automate provisioning and compliance checks with PowerShell; participate in the systems on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years in systems administration or IT infrastructure.
- Windows Server, Active Directory and Entra ID, Microsoft 365 administration, virtualization, and backup.
- MDM (Intune or Jamf) and EDR-managed fleets; Okta or an equivalent identity provider.
- Comfortable with physical infrastructure: racking, cabling, switch and AP installs, and basic VLAN configuration.
- PowerShell; disciplined documentation; working familiarity with NIST SP 800-171.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud High (GCC High).
- Previous experience in the defense, aerospace, or cleared-facility industries.
- Experience supporting and managing endpoints in a manufacturing environment.
- Relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft MD-102, AZ-104, CompTIA Network+, or Security+.
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools, such as Jamf.
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and Python scripting.
Additional Requirements
- Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Willingness to travel around 25-30% as needed during new site development.
ITAR Requirements
