Role Description: The IT Operations Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day IT operations of the organization. This individual will manage IT equipment and assets, IT helpdesk and desktop support, IT issue management and ticketing, employee onboarding/offboarding, and identity and access management (IAM). Additionally, the IT Operations Lead will build, hire, and lead the IT operations team ensuring high performance and efficiency.
This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical background and exceptional people management skills to support and scale IT operations effectively in alignment with business goals. The position will support team members in Kansas City, Missouri, and remote team members across the United States
In this role you will:
- IT Operations Oversight:
- Manage IT assets, helpdesk support, and issue resolution processes.
- Oversee onboarding/offboarding workflows, ensuring timely provisioning and de-provisioning of IT resources.
- Lead identity and access management (IAM) to ensure secure user access.
- Maintain and administer IT operations systems such as MDM solutions, ticketing systems, and productivity tools.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure alignment with requirements and assist with audits as required.
- Team Management:
- Hire, develop, and manage a high-performing IT operations team.
- Set performance goals, provide mentorship, and foster a culture of client obsession.
- Strategic Improvement:
- Implement tools and processes to streamline IT operations.
- Collaborate with leadership to align IT processes with business goals and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- 6+ years of experience in IT operations, IT helpdesk, or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Proven experience with IT asset management, helpdesk systems, and IAM processes.
- Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
- Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing technical teams.
- Familiarity with IT security and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
