Role Description: The Payments Specialist develops relationships with current or potential clients who have payment-related needs. The Payments Specialist will engage in conversations to understand the client’s business and payment-related needs in order to recommend services/payments systems that will be mutually beneficial to the client and bank. The Payments Specialist will help determine if we are able to meet payment needs and if there is a need to collect additional due diligence or implement risk reducing controls by identifying high risk clients (including but not limited to Third Party Senders (TPS) and Nested TPSs, STOLs, CRBs, and clients in the Crypto Industry). The Payments Specialist will collect any additional payment due diligence and assist in initial and ongoing reviews.

In this role you will:

  • Apply Nacha rules and other payments related knowledge to guide/educate clients and answer any payment related questions.
  • Attend initial and periodic meetings with potential and existing clients to discuss use cases, payment needs, and other relevant topics.
  • Gather and review onboarding and periodic due diligence.
  • Be a subject matter expert on payment policies, procedures, products/systems and end to end integration.
  • Work closely with the Payments Compliance Team and the Payments Program Manager to ensure successful onboarding of new clients and periodic reviews of existing clients.
  • Work closely with the Business Banking team to ensure agreements and setups are complete.
  • Work closely with the Payments Processing team to relay important information about client specific needs.
  • Assist in the development of a Payments onboarding process that provides a smooth onboarding experience for clients.
  • Assist in annual audits and risk assessments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years ACH and Wire experience
  • Knowledge of Fiserv products including: Premier Access Manager/ACH Manager/Wire Manager, Paperless Item Module (PIM), and MoveIt SFTP
  • AAP Certification
  • Additional NACHA-related payments certifications may be considered
  • Independent judgment, initiative and accuracy required as well as an understanding of regulatory requirements and risk operations.

**Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on geographical market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone 1: $107,525 - $126,500 (SF/Bay Area, NYC, Seattle, LA)
Zone 2: $90,000 - $110,000 (Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, San Diego, DC)
Zone 3: $75,000 - $95,000 (Other US Metros)
