Electrical Engineering Technician (2)
Kind Humanoid
Job description
About 1X
We’re an AI and robotics company based in Palo Alto, California, on a mission to build a truly abundant society through general-purpose robots capable of performing any kind of work autonomously.
We believe that to truly understand the world and grow in intelligence, humanoid robots must live and learn alongside us. That’s why we’re focused on developing friendly home robots designed to integrate seamlessly into everyday life.
We’re looking for curious, driven, and passionate people who want to help shape the future of robotics and AI. If this mission excites you, we’d be thrilled to hear from you and explore how you might contribute to our journey.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Harness Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on technical skills and ideally some previous electrical/harnessing background.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with other technicians as a lead.
Work closely with the engineering team.
Build and assemble wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies from engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
Perform point-to-point continuity testing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation on completed harnesses and installed systems.
Execute high-quality soldering for wires, connectors, and PCB terminals (through-hole and basic surface-mount).
Install connectors, back shells, and other components, ensuring proper crimping and strain relief.
Assist engineers with prototype builds, reworks, and design-for-manufacturability feedback.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Document work performed and report any design or process issues.
