WELCOME ABOARD, AS WE BUILD THE FUTURE OF REALTY TECH IN INDIA!

Ivy Homes is a technology startup building products that transform the way people sell flats in urban India. We use technology and data science to build an information ecosystem that powers smooth buying and selling of homes. We launched at the end of 2021 in Bangalore, and have since redefined the way people transact on homes there.

We’re launching operations in Mumbai in the short term. We are building a team of young turks to set the city up for brilliant growth.

We build with equal parts product, technology, data science, and on ground hustle. We like to work fast to experiment and bring beautiful solutions to market. We pride ourselves on our collective ability to get stuff done at a breakneck pace, while at the same time living our ideal of being good people.

Our core team comprises IIT Kharagpur and IIT Kanpur alumni, who’re well versed with business and bring solid collective technology and business expertise alike on board. We’re backed by marquee Venture Capitalists of the likes of Y-Combinator, Khosla Ventures, Global Founders Capital and Venture Highway.

MANAGER - OPERATIONS - ROLE SUMMARY

You have one simple responsibility - get things done on time. You’re comfortable roaming around Mumbai on a bike, know your local and metro routes, understand the local network and how to move around to save time!

You understand working with vendors and getting things done on time. You ideally have some exposure to civil works, what they cost and so on. You know, for example, what tiles cost in the city, how much it will cost to get a house painted, 3 vendors that can do it quickly, and which the latest kind of window is in fashion in the city!

You are comfortable juggling responsibilities - handling keys, meeting and onboarding vendors, handling quotations, negotiations on price, finding sources for raw materials, project managing staff and delivery of activity. You are comfortable speaking to people and actually getting things done to satisfaction. You understand what it is to work with and get stuff done from printing vendors.

Finally, you’re also comfortable talking with stakeholders - be they customers, vendors, security guards or internal stakeholders. You’re able to coordinate with folks as relevant, to simply and always, get the job done.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You’re responsible to achieve actual operational excellence in the city. You will start with onboarding key vendors and taking quotations for projects, negotiating the best prices and timelines. You’ll see these through, shortlisting the right vendors and monitoring execution timelines and quality standards. You’ll negotiate and ensure actual payouts.

Gradually, you will build comfort with getting things done at fixed prices and defined timelines at scale.

In addition, you will learn to manage inventory, monitor deployment of resources and execute varied volumes within defined budgets. You will be a jack of all trades with a singular focus - getting things done on time, within pre-defined budgets, while seamlessly facilitating business.
