Ivy Homes is a realty tech start-up redefining how homes are bought and sold in India! We are a young, fast-paced and quickly growing entity working to make home selling and buying a secure, safe, and smooth experience for Indian apartment homeowners based across the world.

We work with large swathes of data to extract relevant, precise and accurate information. Our engineering prowess and feet on street teams alike make sure we have superb on ground information on all targeted apartment complexes in a city we work in. The power of data science and machine learning augment this to make us a technology organization that is the envy of the prop-tech space.

Our non-traditional data first approach to valuation of homes ensures we are able to buy and sell homes at fair values, and we know exactly the depth and extent of value addition due to a given apartment to add the most value at the least cost.

Our in-house legal counsel and CX powerhouses ensure we provide the most secure, safe and detail oriented sell and buy experiences in India today. In a market where information available to buyers and sellers is extremely scarce otherwise, our transparency and trust based approach ensures the right environment for buyers and sellers alike.

Our core team comprises IIT Kharagpur and IIT Kanpur alumni with excellent business and technology acumen. We are backed by marquee Venture Capitalists in the startup ecosystem, including Y-Combinator, Khosla Ventures, Global Founders Capital and Venture Highway. We are expanding our team and looking for enthusiastic folks to join us on this journey.


As a Business Development Manager, simply put, you are the business end of the sword we wield. You cut smoothly through the clutter in the market to identify and source appropriate homes for Ivy Homes to acquire, which have beautiful profit potential.

As we’ve grown in the Bangalore market, we started off at a place where homes were ours to pick and choose. At a slightly more mature stage in our evolution today, we are increasingly seeing the value of relationship building similar to account management, even to do the one-time acquisition of a home from someone that is selling. In this context, our Business Development Manager role is as well evolving over time.

You’ll initiate pseudo-cold conversations with home sellers, and sometimes even canvas for fresh leads when the situation demands this. You’ll build and nurture these relationships through detailed conversations, while at the same time employ your negotiation skills to consistently purchase homes on our terms.

You’ll work in office as well as in the field – and you will be responsible for a chunk of our Bangalore P&L. Doing great work on the ground will lead to quick growth – we are building for newer cities and deeper roles in Bangalore as well!

Most importantly, you will work with the sharpest minds and learn tons more than your peers, with direct exposure to real world problems in generating and delivering sustainable numbers at scale – arguably the hardest problems for growing companies. You get your hands dirty from day 1, and build from the trenches!


  1. Experience building a hypergrowth VC-funded, seed stage startup
  2. Imbibe secrets of the Real Estate industry – from sales to business development to marketing
  3. Comfort with numbers, pipelines and levers of both B2B and B2C sales
  4. Exposure to real estate valuation and cutting-edge technology, powered by AI and ML


  1. Your job breaks into two parts – lead generation, and closing business
  2. Where lead generation is sorted, you will focus on building newer relationships with sellers and working with your existing relationship pipeline to close business
  3. Where lead generation is a problem, you’ll jump right in and work through newer marketing channels, be it in field or digital, to unlock supply
  4. Your attitude is one of a hunter towards sourcing new business, and a nurturer towards any leads you own
  5. We will teach you to negotiate, and negotiate beautifully – you will implement these learnings on a daily basis in real world scenarios with real people – the best university you can attend!
  6. You’ll seriously be able to know yourself better within a year’s time – are you cut out for the business development world in its truest sense, and how alive you feel closing business on a daily basis!


  1. 1-3 years of experience in a sales or sales-like role, preferably something consumer facing
  2. Enthusiasm to work in the fast-paced world of startups!
  3. A go-getter attitude and diligent work ethic to do what it takes to ring in business, while being a good person
  4. Good communication skills - verbal (English and Kannada or Hindi – at least one Indian language)
  5. Good arithmetic abilities
  6. Intent to build relationships that shall sustain over a period of time
  7. A go-getter attitude, with the will to do what it takes and be flexible with a pure outcome focus
  8. Willing to travel across Bangalore
