Overview

This role involves supporting FoodStorm’s Order Management software platform, focusing on full-stack software and database development to build and enhance product functionality. As a Software Engineer II, you will play a critical role in enhancing our services, solving technical challenges, and directly impacting our customers' experience by maintaining the highest standards of our software solutions.

FoodStorm, originally an Australian startup was acquired by Instacart 3 years ago which IPOed in 2024.

About the Job

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve bugs/issues in collaboration with the support team
  • Develop full stack software and database enhancements to introduce new product functionality
  • Maintain standards for security, code integrity, and system documentation as per company protocols
  • Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager, Senior Engineers and Product Managers to size and deliver software projects efficiently
  • Actively participate in continuous process improvement to enhance product quality and address common customer complaints
  • Engage consistently in team rituals and product development processes to ensure alignment and contribute to team goals
  • Participate in On-call support activities.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years + proven experience in Web Application Development
  • 4 years + Proficiency in Microsoft .NET, C#4 years + Skilled in Microsoft SQL Server (SQL Azure preferred), including T-SQL, Tables, Views, and Stored Procedures
  • Familiarity with cloud-based services, ideally the Azure Platform.Exposure to front-end frameworks including React
  • Experience writing and maintaining front and backend unit testsDemonstrated capability in building security-centric software with a strong understanding of security practices including OWASP
  • Ability to work autonomously and be accountable for delivery of features and projects
  • Able to regularly communicate the status of features to your team/manager, emphasizing blockers and risks,Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective time management abilities.Able to remove blockers independently

Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here.
