Overview

About the Role - The Instacart Business segment is in a hyper-growth stage and we are looking to hire a world-class Sales Associate who can help us build and scale the outbound engine for Instacart Business as a key driver of revenue. We are seeking a driven and resourceful sales professional who can operate under ambiguity, is forward-thinking and skilled in managing mid-sized and enterprise customers with a consultative approach all while gathering and providing feedback that will help shape product offerings and sales strategy.

About the Team - The Instacart Business & Supply Chain Team’s vision is to become the leading technology provider for driving growth and efficiency across the food and beverage supply chain. To lay the foundation for our supply chain aspirations, we’ve started by focusing on serving business needs we know best: find more businesses that have flexible spending and unplanned needs for food and beverages. Our strategy has been focused on winning with end-business users around this specific use case, while simultaneously building enterprise-grade products to capture greater share of wallet and pitching solutions aimed further up the supply chain. We are focused not just on meeting business objectives, but on revolutionizing the food supply chain through creativity, perseverance, and collaborative problem-solving.

About the Job

  • Drive Sales Execution: Manage full cycle sales from setting commercials, managing contacting and strategic planning to deal closure, ensuring alignment with Instacart’s broad vision and objectives.
  • Consultative Selling: Engage with top-tier decision makers to position Instacart as a trusted advisor and preferred partner, delivering tailored solutions that meet their unique business needs.
  • Strategic Account Management: Optimize existing partnerships through strategic oversight and robust account management practices to maximize value and foster long-term growth.
  • Strategic Feedback Utilization: Gather and relay insights and feedback from business partners to your manager, who will collaborate with product development, marketing, and operations teams. This indirect coordination helps ensure that business requirements are accurately integrated into broader strategic initiatives, fostering innovation and streamlined execution.
  • Data-Driven Strategies: Leverage analytics to inform decisions and adapt strategies to better meet the demands and challenges faced by large-scale partners.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven Experience: 2+ years of experience in account management or business development. Startup and B2B sales experience is preferred but not necessary. Solid History of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Strategic Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to execute sales strategies that profoundly impact the business trajectory.
  • Exceptional Communication: Skilled in articulating complex concepts to a variety of stakeholders at all levels
  • Adaptability and Drive: Thrive in dynamic and ambiguous environments, showing adaptability and a commitment to achieve. Self starter and solution-oriented problem solver.
  • Negotiation Mastery: Expertise in sealing the deal, characterized by strong negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems like Salesforce and adept at conducting data analysis for pipeline building and segmentation.
  • Startup Experience: Background in fast-paced, early staged, innovation-driven company settings where agile and responsive strategies are a norm.

Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here. Currently, we are only hiring in the following provinces: Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.

Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role. This role also includes a Sales Incentive Plan.
