Inkitt is building the Disney of the 21st Century, standing at the forefront of technology and entertainment. Leveraging AI and predictive algorithms, Inkitt discovers unknown stories and turns them into blockbuster hits, producing a new $1M ebook every 4 weeks and selling directly to consumers through its Galatea app. Inkitt has become the 11th most bestseller-generating publisher in the world, boasting a 40x higher hit-rate than traditional publishers. Recently raising a Series C and backed by some of the top VC’s such as: Khosla, Kleiner Perkins, and NEA Ventures, our recent expansion into CandyJar TV is only the beginning of our journey to becoming the next-gen entertainment powerhouse.
What You’ll Do:
- Read books and watch series to extract key USPs and pivotal story elements; synthesize them into punchy hooks and creative briefs that drive paid performance.
- Write compelling ad copy and hooks, distilling a full story into a two sentence liner that stops the scroll.
- Own the creative production lifecycle: conceive angles, brief designers, manage tickets end to end, and iterate based on UA feedback and performance data.
- Partner closely with the UA team to align creative with funnel signals, understanding what's working, what isn't, and why, then translating that into new angles and formats to test.
- Stay deeply plugged into BookTok, Bookstagram, and Reddit to identify trending formats, seasonal tropes, and emerging story hooks before they peak.
- Experiment with AI video tools and image editing to build and iterate on assets independently when needed.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of creatives aligned to key marketing beats and evergreen initiatives.
- Manage external production partners for more intricate creative needs.
What You'll Bring:
- 3+ years of experience in creative strategy, content marketing, or a related role, ideally within a fast moving startup environment.
- Exceptional copywriting skills. You can write a hook that makes someone stop mid scroll and a two sentence synopsis that sells a 400 page book.
- A genuine love of romance: books, TV, movies. You're the person who actually wants to read this content all day.
- Active presence on BookTok, Bookstagram, or romance reading communities. You know what's trending, what tropes are having a moment, and what's coming next.
- Strong analytical instincts: comfortable in Google Sheets/Excel, fluent in performance metrics, and able to connect creative decisions to business outcomes.
- Experience working alongside a paid/UA team with a solid understanding of full funnel marketing.
- Proficiency with creative tools: CapCut, Premiere Pro, image editing, and AI video tools.
- A bias toward action. You move fast, learn fast, and don't wait for a perfect brief to get started.
