The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to process, support and coordinate the accounting and reporting for the company’s international subsidiaries as well as to support the US accounting team with certain general accounting activities. This role will report to the Senior Accounting Manager. The Senior Accountant should be familiar with global companies, have a solid understanding of general accounting practices, US GAAP, and a good grasp of multi-entity accounting. They will be good with numbers and able to be trusted with sensitive information. They should have great communication skills to interact with colleagues, international accountants, and executives.

The main goal is to ensure all Subsidiaries accounting operations run smoothly and the accounting is done timely and correctly, working with the third party firms performing the accounting duties. This position will also support the Senior Accounting Manager with certain general accounting activities. We are looking for a self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment as well as performing general accounting activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Trains, manages and reviews the work of our third party international accountants
  • Serve as the primary communication liaison for our international needs
  • Oversees the month-end close process of the international subsidiaries
  • Ensure all foreign invoices are approved and processed on time
  • Ensures all intercompany accounts (assets, liabilities, revenue, expense) are reconciled on a monthly basis
  • Coordinate the subsidiary annual financial statement audits with auditors for the Subsidiaries
  • Work with our US AP accountant to ensure proper recording, coding, and approval of US entity invoices
  • Support monthly and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations including AP accrual, VAT receivable and the lease liability accounts
  • Responding to information requests and assisting with audits
  • Resolve any issues/questions by supervisor or other parties in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist the accounting team with special projects, administrative tasks, and other accounting and reporting related work (e.g., analyzing expenses and identifying cost-saving measures)

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business or accounting required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred
  • Accounting for multiple subsidiaries preferred
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced environment required
  • ERP system knowledge is required
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good understanding of US GAAP
  • Demonstrates strong technical accounting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
  • Advanced excel skills, including Vlookups and Pivot tables.
  • Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision

Individual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications aligned with Imply’s internal levelings guidelines and benchmarks. The below range encompasses roles with on target earnings. This role is also eligible to participate in Imply’s equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.

Compensation: $90,000 - $225,000
