At House Rx, we're passionate about making specialty medications more accessible and affordable for patients dealing with chronic illnesses like cancer and autoimmune disorders. We do this by empowering clinics with advanced technology and dedicated support from pharmacists and care coordinators, enabling them to directly dispense medications to their patients through medically integrated dispensing.

About the Role

As a Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in building out our data warehouse from ELT of new data, setting a high bar for data quality to design and implementation of efficient, flexible and trusted data models.

You'll collaborate closely with our product, engineering, and clinical operations teams to transform complex healthcare data into actionable insights, driving meaningful impact for our patients and clinics. This is a hands-on technical role, requiring you to write and maintain the models in our platform on a day to day basis.

What You’ll Do

You'll drive technical excellence, ensuring that we have a high bar for the performance and readability of our DBT models, our data ingestion is robust and that we identify data quality issues early in our pipelines.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experienced Professional: You bring 2+ years of combined experience in data engineering and data science
  • Modern Data Stack Expertise: You have hands-on experience using contemporary data engineering tools such as Airflow, DBT, SQLMesh, Snowflake, MotherDuck, Great Expectations and similar technologies.
  • Technical Proficiency: You are deeply skilled in SQL and data modelling and have exposure to at least one programming language, preferably Python
  • Data Fluency: You possess a strong understanding of core data concepts including ELT, data lakes, data warehouses, backfill strategies, and data quality.
  • Data Modeling Acumen: You have expertise in data modelling including star and snowflake schemas, normal forms, and the differences between transactional and analytical models
  • Accountability: You are focused on delivering value to your stakeholders in a timely manner, making well reasoned tradeoffs on delivery timelines vs long term supportability
  • Cloud Experience: You have some experience working within a cloud environment (e.g., AWS or Google Cloud).

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience within a rapidly growing company.
  • A track record of improving data quality and observability
  • Prior experience in Healthcare.

In particular, we offer:

  • Flexible work hours and flexible paid time off
  • Generous parental leave
  • Comprehensive healthcare, vision and dental benefits
  • Competitive salary and equity stake

We’re backed by forward-thinking investors committed to transforming healthcare, including Bessemer Venture Partners, First Round Capital, LRV Health, Khosla Ventures, Maverick Ventures, 1984.vc, and Character.

While a cover letter is optional, a note sharing your enthusiasm for House Rx and this role is highly insightful.

Expected Full-Time Base Salary: $144,000-$160,000

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary/wage. The actual base salary/wage will depend on several factors, including experience, knowledge, and skills. Actual compensation packages may include other elements equity, paid time off and benefits.
