Hi, Future Homie!

At Homebase, you’ll join a team that’s bold, fast-moving, and obsessed with helping small businesses thrive. We build with empathy, act with urgency, and take big swings that drive real-world impact. Here, every Homie shows up to raise the bar, support one another, and celebrate wins as a team.

We’re not just building an app—we’re building unstoppable teams. So what do you say, are you in?

📍Your Impact Starts Here

We’re looking for an HR Generalist who’s passionate about building exceptional employee experiences and fueling a high-velocity, AI-first workplace. You’ll partner across the People Team to ensure smooth HR processes, compliance, and employee support—helping our Homies do their best work.

This role matters because our mission depends on unstoppable teams. You’ll shape policies, programs, and moments that reinforce The Homie Way, while experimenting with AI to retool HR workflows and unlock scale.

This role will partner closely with GTM functions (Sales, Marketing, Customer Support) to support programs that accelerate revenue growth, elevate team performance, and reinforce operating principles throughout our Homebase culture.

These are the key ways you’ll contribute and create impact:

  • Own day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, employee changes, and compliance administration.

  • Partner with managers and HRBPs to resolve employee relations issues with empathy, fairness, and speed, focusing primarily on the GTM functions.

  • Support benefits, leave, and payroll administration with attention to accuracy and compliance, in particular for US-based employees.

  • Implement and improve HR processes by experimenting with AI tools to increase velocity and reduce manual work.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for Homies’ HR questions, ensuring a high standard of care and responsiveness.

  • Collaborate on People programs like engagement surveys, performance reviews, and hybrid work enablement.

  • Deliver data-driven insights and reporting to support decision-making across the People team.

🚀 The Foundation for Success - These are the experiences and strengths that will set you up for success in this role:

  • 2–4 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a fast-moving, scaling environment.

    • Prior experience supporting or partnering with GTM teams (Sales, CS, Marketing) in a scaling or high-velocity environment.

  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, compliance requirements, and employee relations best practices.

  • Experience with HRIS systems (Rippling preferred) and comfort in learning new tools quickly.

  • Demonstrated ability to experiment with and adopt AI tools to improve HR processes (e.g., automation of FAQs, analytics, policy drafting).

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a bias to action.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills—able to build trust with employees at all levels.

🤝 The Homie Way - These principles guide everything we do—from how we work and make decisions to how we show up for each other.

  • 💡 Be Customer Obsessed – Solve problems with empathy and creativity.

  • Move Fast, Learn Fast – Experiment, take action, and grow every day.

  • 🎯 Own Your Impact – Think big, focus on what matters, and make decisions you stand behind.

  • 🏆 Master Your Craft – Excellence fuels impact—show up, step up, and make your mark.

  • 🏅 Win Together – Put goals over roles, lead with trust, and connect to our mission and each other.
