We’re looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join our team and help shape the way small business teams work. You’ll focus on building tools that enhance the frontend developer experience, improve our core architecture, and support fast, customer-impactful development across product teams. If you’re excited about creating user-friendly, scalable, and maintainable software, we want to hear from you.
These are the key ways you’ll contribute and create impact in this role:
Design and build scalable, performant frontend software for Homebase customers
Empower other frontend teams by building tooling and improving developer workflows
Evaluate and recommend emerging frameworks and frontend technologies
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and product to deliver delightful user experiences
Mentor junior engineers and lead by example with clean, maintainable code
Support our transition into an AI-first engineering culture by adopting tools that improve velocity
🚀 The Foundation for Success
These are the experiences and strengths that will set you up for success in this role:
3+ years of experience in frontend development, preferably with React.js
Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and pull request workflows
Experience working in agile environments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Ability to evaluate and compare frameworks and technologies objectively
Comfortable collaborating in the office weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
