Content Strategist, Organic (Hybrid)

We’re looking for a Content Strategist, Organic to unlock rapid traffic growth, capture prospect emails en masse, improve content conversion rates across our website, and provide top-tier content experiences to the small business owners we serve.
Reporting to the Content Marketing Lead, this role is for you if you love to blend right-brain creative vision with a left-brain obsession with trackable results–and if you want to reimagine what high-value content programs look like in a post-AI world.
This hybrid role is a six-month contract assignment with potential for extension.
You are a bar raiser, this means you come with:
Experience - 4+ years of experience in content marketing, with tales to tell of SEO writing, keyword research, and revenue-accountable traffic growth
Creativity - You have strong writing and editing skills, and you need to push organic execution beyond just “SEO content”
Organization - You’re obsessed with project and resource management, focusing on agility over depth of process, and have experience managing Asana or a similar tool
SEO Know-How - Deep familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SurferSEO) to develop data-driven strategies and measure performance
Curiosity - You’re not scared of the post-AI future, and have a keen interest in both leveraging and ranking for AI systems–without sacrificing the human reading experience
Small Business Love - You earnestly love the small business community, and believe adding your touch to our content will actually make their lives better
Collaboration - You’ll make the most of relationships across sales, support, CRO, SEO, product marketing and analytics to get sh** done in a way that’s valuable inside and outside the content team
Bonus points for:
Experience writing for a small business audience (especially journalistically)
Experience with SMB SAAS–or running a small business of your own!
You will make an impact by:
Researching, pitching, and managing a quarterly strategic content calendar based on product roadmap, existing successes, customer insights, refresh opportunities, and company objectives
Managing high-velocity content production (blogs, checklists, etc.) across a team of whip-smart writers, editors, and agencies without sacrificing quality
Centering the customer by introducing customer interviews, testimonials, and value adds to existing content in partnership with our product marketing and brand teams
Measuring performance at all funnel stages, from impression to click to download to sign up to MRR, so you’re hyper-aware of our content program’s impact
Getting more from less by working with the CRO team to unlock content-driven sign up growth; the SEO team to ensure everything we publish hits every technical requirement; and our design resources to optimize existing content with rankable images
Constantly developing your freelancers by treating them as members of our team, and ensuring we’re hitting goals while developing our resource pool–leading to even stronger results
