Hi, Future Homie!

As a Homie, you'll be part of an unstoppable team that puts customers first, embraces each day with excitement, and strives for excellence in everything you do. We’re revolutionizing the way small businesses manage their teams and grow their business. What this means for you is a shared passion for innovation and making a difference for the people we serve. So what do you say, will you join us on our mission to empower small businesses?

You are someone who is equal parts strategic, analytical, and creative and gets things done. You are obsessed with delivering the right message to the right customer at the right moment. You are someone who loves to solve problems and help small businesses discover products that will make their work and lives better.

The Job

Reporting to the Product Marketing & Brand Lead, this role will partner with our Product team to launch new products for our customers. You’ll own insights, segmentation, product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy. You will play a key role in defining our target audience for products we build, while also influencing the product roadmap and packaging strategy. Ultimately, you’ll work with product, marketing, support, and sales to create the right personalized experiences for different segments to drive awareness and adoption of products you launch. Ultimately, you will be the voice of the customer.

You will make an impact by

  • Taking insights from customer and market research and applying them to influence product choices and existing marketing & sales motions
  • Turning data into strategy, and strategy into tactics, to drive more awareness and adoption of Homebase products
  • Working with product, sales, and marketing to build the right go-to-market for different segments of customers for new products being launched
  • Owning awareness and adoption of products being built for small business teams
  • Understanding the needs of small business owners and be their voice
  • Building repeatable processes for product launches, adoption tests, and customer communications

You are a bar raiser, which means you come with:

  • 3-8 years of experience in SaaS marketing and 3-4 years in product marketing
  • Experience in the SMB space is a plus
  • Strengths in messaging and positioning
  • Experience doing qualitative and quantitative customer and market research, defining and acting on segmentation
  • Excellent executive communication skills: synthesizing complex problems and convincing people of your point of view
  • Deep customer empathy
  • Proven ability to work closely with and influence product and growth teams
  • Excellent project management skills and experience building go-to-market plans
  • Analytical mindset and comfort using data to diagnose and inform choices
  • Thrive in a startup environment: ability to prioritize, adapt, test, and learn
  • Be curious, detail-oriented, and a problem-solver
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally
  • BA/BS degree required
