We are seeking a Director, Digital Transformation to lead the strategy, ownership and evolution of digital platforms and capabilities supporting our engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise operations.
This leader will be responsible for how our core systems – including PLM, ERP, MES, Enterprise Integrations, Data/BI, Automation and Emerging technologies –work together to improve how products are designed, built, and scaled
This role will drive an integrated digital thread across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance while ensuring our systems, data, and processes remain scalable as our programs and operations grow. The ideal candidate combines strong enterprise systems, and architecture expertise with a deep understanding of Engineering and Manufacturing workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, roadmap and overall effectiveness of the Company’s core digital platforms, including PLM, ERP, MES, data/BI Automation, and related enterprise applications.
- Lead the company’s digital transformation agenda, identifying and executing high-impact opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual work, improve data flow, and increase scalability and collaboration across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance through process redesign, automation, AI and emerging technologies
- Define and advance an integrated digital thread across the product lifecycle, establish clear systems of record, data ownership, enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and end-to-end information flows
- Partner with leaders across the organization to improve critical workflows including product definition, configuration and change management, procurement readiness, manufacturing planning, production execution and quality.
- Lead complex transformation initiatives from problem definition and future-state design through architecture, implementation, adoption, and measurable business outcomes
- Build and lead the teams, operating model, governance, and strategic partnerships required to deliver and scale these capabilities, including technology and AI evaluation, vendor management, prioritization, accountability and executive communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience across digital transformation, enterprise systems, engineering/manufacturing systems, enterprise architecture, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex digital transformation initiatives within engineering, manufacturing, product development, or similarly technical environments.
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems and digital ecosystems, including PLM, ERP, MES, integrations, data, analytics, and enterprise architecture.
- Experience designing and improving cross-system business processes, digital workflows, system integrations, APIs, data models, and system-of-record strategies.
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous operational challenges into scalable processes, technical requirements, architectures, roadmaps, and execution plans.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and complex cross-functional initiatives, with strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and vendor/implementation partner management skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, advanced manufacturing, or another complex hardware/product-development environment.
- Experience with Siemens Teamcenter/NX or comparable PLM/CAD platforms and NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics or comparable ERP platforms.
- Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes, including eBOM/mBOM, Manufacturing Planning, production execution and quality
- Experience designing digital-thread architectures spanning PLM, ERP, MES, enterprise integrations, data, and analytics.
- Experience building or leading enterprise integration, automation, BI, operational analytics, or modern data-platform capabilities.
- Practical experience applying AI, agents, or intelligent automation to engineering, manufacturing, or enterprise workflows in a high-growth environment.
