About the role:
We are seeking a strategic, health plan-savvy person to lead our messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies for payers—including Medicare Advantage and commercial plans. This role sits at the intersection of market strategy, solution positioning, and sales enablement, and plays a critical part in how Hello Heart shows up to payers.
You’ll work closely with Health Plan Sales, Medical Affairs, and other Marketing team members to craft compelling narratives and materials that resonate with executives and other key decision makers at health plans. While this role sits within the Marketing org, success in this role depends more on strategic thinking, evidence-based problem-solving, and payer fluency than on traditional marketing execution.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience, with a blend of commercial strategy, management consulting, and/or health plan-facing roles
- Deep knowledge of how health plans operate—including Star ratings, risk adjustment, quality programs, and medical cost management
- Excellent business writing and communication skills, with a knack for simplifying complex healthcare concepts
- Experience partnering closely with sales, clinical, and product teams
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Bonus: Experience with value-based care, digital health, or population health tools
Responsibilities:
- Develop the positioning, messaging, and narrative strategy for how Hello Heart presents its value to health plans—tailored to specific lines of business such as Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial populations
- Translate clinical outcomes, quality performance, and cost savings into payer-relevant language and use cases
- Collaborate with Health Plan Sales to create and maintain strategic marketing and sales materials—pitches, case studies, executive decks, and more
- Manage content development from concept to final delivery, ensuring alignment across clinical, product, and commercial teams
- Own and evolve Hello Heart’s health plan content strategy, including success stories, ROI narratives, and key differentiators
- Attend industry events and partner meetings to better understand how Hello Heart’s payer value proposition resonates with target audiences
- Travel ~20% to support conferences, client meetings, and events
