We are seeking top talent for the Director of Business Development & Partnerships position. As a key member of the Business Development department, you will be in a unique position to positively impact our revenue and help shape Hello Heart’s growth initiatives.
You will be responsible for channel partnership strategy, execution, and management of one of our key partner relationships. You will cultivate deep relationships with our channel partners to maximize our sales through alliances across the organization, developing joint initiatives and promoting Hello Heart inside our partner organizations to maximize sales opportunities.
The ideal candidate has Business Development experience and is an expert at building deep relationships with large, complex health plan partners. With excellent communication skills, you will work cross-functionally with our internal customer success, BizDev, and sales teams.
Areas of responsibility:
- Own strategic channels and partnership strategy and execution including developing a partnership playbook with 1:1 relationships with key partners.
- Lead prospecting, pitching, and contracting employer sales through our channel partnerships, alongside the Hello Heart Sales team
- Manage and develop the channel pipeline with accountability for revenue growth and opportunities development through close collaboration with Sales.
- Negotiate and manage the execution of channel partnership renewals
- Identify and execute partnership expansion opportunities
- Be the day-to-day contact for our partner’s product and sales teams and effectively facilitate requests from sales and product teams.
- Serve as a point of escalation to resolve issues that emerge during the implementation phase of the relationship.
- Manage a team of channel managers, responsible for building pipeline and producing revenue through key partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of management consulting experience with demonstrated BizDev experience in complex channel partnerships.
- MBA and/or MPH a plus
- Experience working with or on behalf of health plans or PBMs
- Experience and success in end-to-end partnerships by developing an overall strategy to build/maintain pipelines and executing through prospecting, relationship building, pitching, and contracting with sales.
- 100% independent with a demonstrated problem-solving skill set.

- Strong written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized, able to multitask, and easily adapt to change.

- Willing to always roll up your sleeves to help and get things done.
- Willing to travel 30%.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000 to $205,000. Salary ranges are determined by role and level. Compensation is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the annual salary and bonus only, and do not include equity or benefits.
