About the Senior Product Manager (Platform) at Headspace:

Headspace's mission is to provide every person access to lifelong mental health support. As Senior Product Manager on the Platform team, you will make that possible by defining and executing the strategy behind our foundational systems that power our internal infrastructure. Scaling our infrastructure means scaling access to mental health support for people throughout the world.

You’ll partner across Headspace to build scalable, resilient infrastructure that empowers our product and engineering teams to serve members and customers with excellence. This is a senior product manager role for a systems-oriented PM passionate about scaling infrastructure, driving strategic alignment, championing the needs of developers and partners, and delivering measurable business value.

What you will do:

  • Define and Champion the Infrastructure Platform Vision: Develop and communicate a clear, strategic product vision that supports long-term growth and partner satisfaction.
  • Advocate for and Democratize Access to AI systems. Partner with AI leadership and engineers to make it possible for engineers and product managers to to use AI systems without needing a dedicated machine-learning engineer on every project.
  • Drive Business Planning and Strategic Roadmaps: Own the roadmap for Headspace’s Infrastructure platform squad, balancing short-term business needs with long-term scalability.
  • Deliver Cross-functional Impact: Collaborate with engineering, product, commercial, and operational teams to define, prioritize, and launch impactful platform initiatives.
  • Advance Data Infrastructure: Partner with data engineering and analytics to enhance the systems that drive enterprise reporting and insights.
  • Resolve and Prevent Escalations: Develop systems to prevent product-related emergencies.
  • Measure What Matters: Define success metrics for platform initiatives, evaluate performance, and continuously optimize for impact.

What you will bring:

Required Skills:

  • Senior Product Leadership: 5+ years of experience managing complex product areas end-to-end, with a focus on systems and platforms.
  • Deep Product Management Expertise: Mastery of prioritization, roadmapping, communication, and stakeholder influence.
  • Executional Excellence: Proven ability to drive programs from concept to launch across diverse functions and priorities.
  • Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines, and platform architecture. Comfortable engaging deeply with engineering teams.
  • Data Fluency: Proficient in using SQL, Amplitude, Looker, or equivalent tools to inform decisions.
  • Strategic Stakeholder Management: Strong communication, structured thinking, and a collaborative, customer-first mindset.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Clear, concise written and verbal communicator, especially in remote-first environments.
  • Results Orientation: Track record of shipping product improvements with measurable impact.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience as a practicing engineer working on platform systems.
  • Knowledge of coding paradigms, systems, and tools.
  • Prior experience working on digital health applications.
  • Background in supporting multiple user personas across complex, layered data systems.

Location:

This is a hybrid role located in our San Francisco office, working 3 days per week from the office.

Pay & Benefits:

The anticipated new hire base salary range for this full-time position is $156,400.00-$195,500.00 + equity + benefits.

Our salary ranges are based on the job, level, and location, and reflect the lowest to highest geographic markets where we are hiring for this role within the United States. Within this range, individual compensation is determined by a candidate’s location as well as a range of factors including but not limited to: unique relevant experience, job-related skills, and education or training.
