Job Description
About the Role:
The Supply Chain Specialist plays a critical role as the liaison between Guardant Health third-party suppliers as well as internal procurement and planning teams. This position will be responsible for managing and maintaining indirect and service purchase orders for accuracy and delivery schedules. The Supply Chain Specialist will oversee all indirect orders to suppliers while collaborating closely with internal departments to ensure timely material/services availability and cost management. Additionally, this role will work with the Guardant warehouse receiving team to manage receipt/invoice issues to ensure timely closure of orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and services at competitive prices.
- Create and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders (POs) and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Track and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain delivery commitments, quotations, quality documents, resolve discrepancies and follow up on outstanding orders.
- Partner with Guardant Health warehouse and accounts payable teams for resolution of receiving and/or purchase order issues.
- Proactively monitor aged purchase orders, insufficient purchase order balance etc. to avoid unnecessary payment delays.
- Daily review of the indirect purchase requisition queue to ensure timely review and approvals by various Guardant Health departments.
- Support the Guardant Health procurement team with administrative tasks, supplier database maintenance, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Guardant Health internal policies and procurement procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to present complex data effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook required).
- Ability to work cross-functionally with different teams and departments to achieve business goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- Oracle Fusion experience preferred.
Additional Information
Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. For positions based in Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $70,500 to $96,950. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
