Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to join our growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team at Guardant Health as an Inside Sales Representative. The Inside Sales Representative will play a crucial role in supporting the field-based sales organization by driving product growth through exceptional virtual customer interactions to drive early detection of Colorectal Cancer (CRC) through the utilization of the SHIELD blood test.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Expansion: Uncover potential new business utilizing analytical insights and successfully transition incoming leads into active ordering accounts.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed sales goals through virtual effective prospecting, relationship-building, and execution of national sales strategies.
  • Target and Engage Healthcare Providers: Focus on building strong relationships virtually with healthcare providers, gaining their commitment to adopt the Shield test for CRC and other cancers
  • Challenger Selling: Engage healthcare providers virtually to understand their needs and demonstrate how Guardant Health’s offerings can improve patient outcomes and streamline their practice.
  • Resource Utilization: Utilize data from a range of internal resources (Salesforce, Veeva, competitive market data, etc…) to understand the evolving market of CRC treatments and to make data-driven decisions to support the successful execution of your business plan
  • Educate and Support Providers: Provide in-depth product knowledge and training virtually to primary care practices to gain all stakeholder support, beyond the provider, ensuring smooth integration of SHIELD into their workflow.
  • Provide High-Touch Customer Service: Maintain exceptional customer service standards by resolving issues proactively and supporting healthcare providers in every phase of the sales process.
  • Compliance & Administrative Excellence: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulations, while managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 4-year college degree and minimum 1-year sales experience (internships, inside or field-based sales, or retail with sales goals). This is an inside sales role so virtual selling experience is highly preferred.
  • Sales Expertise (Preferred): Demonstrated virtual ability to engage in selling conversations, overcoming objections and aligning client needs with product offerings.
  • Product Knowledge: Ability to quickly learn and apply technical product knowledge to drive sales.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information in an easily understandable manner virtually.
  • CRM Proficiency (Preferred): Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Veeva, or similar platforms for tracking customer interactions and sales progress.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Superior negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Preferred: High-touch customer service and relationship-building skills, with a focus on long-term partnership and success.

Personal Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record is required for daily field office and customer visits, if required.
  • Travel Flexibility: Flexibility to travel to open territories, when needed, and occasional national travel for sales meetings.

Additional Information

Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $65,400 to $89,900. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
