Business Development Manager (Strategic Partner Alliances)

Location: West Coast U.S. preferred | Remote

Salary range for this position: $190,000-$250,000 a year, plus bonus and commission.

At Grokker, partners drive more than 40% of our growth, and we’re investing heavily in scaling this impact. We’re looking for a Business Development Manager, Strategic Partner Alliances to own and expand our technology partnerships, especially in the HCM/Ben Admin, TPA, EAP, Health Plan, and Benefit Point Solution ecosystems.

This role is about more than just managing relationships. You’ll be building and executing go-to-market strategies that drive new customer acquisition, deepen product integrations, and create joint value with some of the most important platforms in our ecosystem.

We need someone who’s a builder and operator: equally comfortable mapping out alliance strategy as they are driving execution with partner managers, AEs, and marketing teams.


What You’ll Do

  • Build and scale strategic technology alliances in HCM/Ben Admin, TPA, EAP, Health Plan, and Benefit Point Solution ecosystems.

  • Own the full alliance life cycle:

    • Identify and prioritize integrations.

    • Collaborate with Product to scope and deliver high-value integrations.

    • Develop and refine joint value propositions with partners.

    • Drive co-marketing and co-selling motions to bring integrations to market.

    • Deliver and scale revenue from partnership integrations.

  • Execute joint GTM plans with technology partners and Grokker’s sales and marketing teams.

  • Enable Grokker AEs and Partner Managers to position and sell integrations effectively.

  • Deliver partner revenue outcomes: sourced pipeline, influenced deals, and new customer growth.

  • Serve as the voice of the partner ecosystem internally, influencing product roadmaps and GTM plays.

  • Represent Grokker at ecosystem events, partner summits, and joint customer-facing activities.


How You’ll Be Measured

  • New customer growth from alliances.

  • Partner-sourced and influenced pipeline & revenue.

  • Number of integrations launched and activated with strategic partners.

  • Execution and adoption of joint GTM plays (co-marketing, co-selling, co-enablement).

  • Engagement of Grokker sales + partner managers in alliance-driven motions.


Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic alliances, business development, or partner sales in B2B Benefits.

  • Deep familiarity with HCM, Benefits, Point Solutions and Health Plan ecosystems (Workday, Alight, Lyra, CVS, BCBS, etc.)

  • Proven track record of building alliances across all phases: product integration, joint messaging, GTM execution, and sales scaling.

  • Strong commercial acumen, able to connect product value to revenue outcomes.

  • Comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders: product, marketing, sales leadership, and external partner executives.

  • Thrive in an environment that requires creativity, resourcefulness, and ownership.


Structure & Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product, Marketing, and Sales leadership to define and execute alliance priorities.

  • Collaborate with Channel Account Managers to scale integrations into partner + AE conversations.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment and ensure alliances deliver measurable business results
