Meet the team:
The Autonomy Performance team, part of the Autonomy Software organization, is a collective of data scientists and data engineers responsible for championing robust processes to facilitate verification and validation of our robot software. We accomplish this by distilling and maturing requirements from code, maturing software best practices, and building automation to support verification and validation activities. As a Systems Engineer with a Software Engineering focus, you'll build and optimize our analytics platform to enable data-driven decision making across the company.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop new performance metrics in close collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
- Automate data pipelines for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and analysis.
- Champion best practices across our web applications and analytics stack, guiding developers in: architecture, scalability, and maintainability.
- Design and review high-quality, robust, and testable code.
- Build end-to-end testing pipelines for our cloud-based services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or another related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in Python.
- Experience with Unix or Linux operating systems.
- Experience with multi-language build systems (e.g. Bazel, CMake) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- (Bonus) Experience in C or C++.
- (Bonus) Experience with robotic perception, planning, control, and decision-making algorithms.
