Meet the team:

The primary responsibility of the Vice President, Marketing is to build a company marketing strategy to help accelerate building the Glydways brand and reputation with various stakeholders. Leveraging experiences with B2B and Government, this individual will devise innovative marketing initiatives to drive awareness, preference, sales enablement, and social/digital eminence. Effectively building the company’s marketing capability, the ideal candidate will be a data driven strategic thinker, creative innovator and have a track record in managing successful team outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive marketing strategies and programmatic plans aligned with the company's overall business objectives. Fully leverage marketing to support these goals.
  • Branding and Reputation: Become an effective brand custodian and help nurture and grow the value of the Glydways brand and its positioning. Own the development and consistent execution of the company's brand identity, messaging, and value proposition across all marketing channels.
  • Sales Channel and Enablement: Spearhead reputational and sales enablement initiatives, across digital and traditional event channels, that support business development and our corporate eminence.
  • Content Development and Execution: Oversee the ideation, development, and execution of owned content that effectively communicates Glydways’ perspective and positioning to a diverse audience of customers, project partners, communities, and investors. Examples of content include speaker series, blog, video, new website, etc. Develop a business case for a paid media investment to augment owned and earned channels.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and industry trend monitoring to stay at the forefront of a changing market and identify ways to maintain and enhance our positioning.
  • Team Management: Build, mentor, and inspire a highly effective marketing team. Set clear goals, manage performance, and foster professional development. Help develop a culture that aligns with Glydways values.
  • Data Analytics: Develop a clear strategy and evolve it to track, analyze, and report on critical marketing metrics to evaluate performance and inform future strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, and Project Delivery, to ensure alignment and optimize marketing impacts on business growth.
  • Budget Management: Develop, manage, and optimize a marketing budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources across various initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong experience of complex business to business and government operating environments and audiences.
  • Creative thinker able to navigate early-stage operations, new product GTM experience and/or disrupting existing markets and status quo.
  • Excellent management skills, written and oral communication skills. Strong analytical skills, time-management and budgetary skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to drive high performance team via effective collaboration.
  • Creative, passionate, and enthusiastic in leading the business growth efforts.
  • Must be able to generate team performance with proven results.
  • Minimum undergraduate degree in business related or industry field or equivalent level of relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in progressively senior marketing roles.
  • 5+ years in leadership roles managing high-performance marketing teams.
  • A creative and brand track record
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies, from concept to launch, in B2B or B2G environments.
  • A deep understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, and email marketing.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including experience with marketing analytics tools and platforms.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal; able to build and present a cohesive brand story.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally to achieve organizational goals.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of operating in a fast-paced environment

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California is expected in the range below.

$200,000-$250,000 USD plus stock options, commensurate with experience
