Meet the team:

The Quality Lead will develop and own the Glydways Quality Management System and work with team leads throughout all disciplines to identify, document, and support implementation and review of quality policies, processes, and procedures in pursuit of Glydways’ ISO 9001 certification. This position is responsible for:

  • Collaborate with the Systems, Safety, and Security teams to establish processes compliant with regulatory requirements and industry best practices such as EN 50128, IEC 61508, ASCE 21-21, ISO 5055, ISO 25010, ISO 15504, etc.
  • Establish configuration management systems and processes to support design, documentation, inventory management, and traceability throughout the development lifecycle from prototyping to production intent
  • Work with cross-functional teams to play a critical role in complex system development, and definition of the organizational constraints.
  • Work with leadership across the organization to establish the organizational quality policies necessary, including Human Resources, Facilities Management, Product Engineering, and Project Management..
  • Perform the analyses, continuous improvement, and execution of strategic plans to achieve performance targets as they relate to transit safety and quality assurance
  • Work with all team members to gain a deep understanding of all functions of the Glydways system and define the quality assurance and quality control strategies necessary for all the systems and subsystems, including vendor management, according to regulatory and functional safety standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Defining and maintaining the Glydways Quality Management system and policies
  • Establishing organizational training to the QMS and working with process and procedure owners to define team training needs and reinforce behaviors
  • Organizing and leading the audit of activities against the planned processes and procedures;
  • Defining and implementing the plan for soliciting feedback and revision of quality processes and procedures, including training personnel on the revisions;
  • Lead the effort for identification, planning, organization, tracking, and documentation of all necessary quality activities throughout the project and product development lifecycles, including hardware, software, and integration quality activities both internally and at vendors
  • Derive quality requirements for different levels of the engineering in system, hardware and software;

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Relevant STEM field, AQS Quality Engineer Certification (CQE), or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience working as a quality engineer in an industry with highly regulated functional safety, system safety, or safety engineering applications, especially with safety-related software quality assurance
  • Ability to demonstrate a proven track record of successfully working with large, complex teams in a results oriented environment
  • Ability to plan, document, train, and revise quality processes and perform audits of those processes for multidisciplinary organizations that produce complex technological solutions
  • This position requires excellent written and oral communication proficiency in conjunction with organization skills necessary to achieve consensus within diverse multi-disciplined teams.
