We’ve raised $17.8 million in Series A funding led by Google Ventures and joined by Khosla Ventures. They believe in our vision that the law should be accessible to everyone, and this is where your skills will make this vision tangible for consulting clients worldwide.
This is what you’ll be doing
As Head of Business Development - Consulting Clients at Genie AI you’ll be joining us in a dynamic stage of our growth. Below is what we need you to do, it’s up to you on the how:
- Sector strategy: Define and execute Genie’s business development strategy for consulting clients
- Client acquisition: Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing deals with major consulting firms
- Relationship building: Develop strong networks with senior partners and procurement leaders
- Value proposition: Work with Product and Marketing to create consulting-focused use cases, messaging, and case studies
- Revenue growth: Build a scalable pipeline and consistently hit or exceed targets
- Collaboration: Partner with Customer Success to drive adoption and expansion within consulting accounts
This is how we’ll set you up for success and the outcomes we expect from you
Over your first 90 days you can expect us to help point you in the right direction to set you up for success. During the interview process we can talk you through a high level overview of your 90 day plan.
By the end of your first six months we expect you to be:
- Win marquee consulting clients that showcase Genie’s value in professional services
- Establish a repeatable playbook for consulting sales
- Build a strong, growing pipeline of opportunities
We’ll continually develop and measure success on the below criteria:
- Revenue and ARR generated from consulting clients
- Quality and scalability of your pipeline
- Depth of relationships established with consulting leaders
We are a start up in an exceptionally dynamic stage of our growth. We are a customer and employee led organisation. What this means is that we adapt to our customers' needs, and the problems we’re solving today could be very different in six months, or even by the end of this recruitment process. We also listen to our team as we empower you to have full autonomy of your role - you're the expert. You should expect to work with us on how your role develops, grows and changes throughout your time at Genie.

The skills you need to succeed in this role
- Proven success in B2B sales or business development, ideally in SaaS or legal tech
- Experience working with or selling into consulting/professional services firms
- Strong network of senior decision-makers within consulting
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
