Your Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer you will have the opportunity to drive innovation in electrical systems development, along with a multi-disciplinary engineering team, in a fast-growing start-up company. In this role you will take ownership of the electrical power and control systems for our proprietary industrial automation equipment in accordance with industry standards, best practices, and requirements. This role offers ample growth opportunities while working side-by-side with a motivated team to bring our innovative and exciting new technology to reality.

In This Role You Will

  • Own challenging electrical design projects in industrial automation and robotics
  • Drive projects from conceptualization through, design, integration and scaled manufacturing, while ensuring design meets system-level requirements
  • Ideate novel solutions to challenging problems - from the system level to individual part design
  • Design PCBs that range in application from analog signal processing, motor control, to power and signal distribution
  • Design for compliance with UL, ISO and IE standards
  • Test new designs on the bench and in system to ensure function and performance
  • Work with manufacturing engineers and external vendors to to prototype new products, ensure efficient manufacturing and high production quality on production systems
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with software, mechanical, and systems teams to ensure successful integration on the system level
  • Impact the company’s overall performance by contributing to a positive work culture, encouraging good engineering practices, and helping to create and improve robust engineering workflows and processes

What We’re Looking For

  • BS or MS in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 2+ years of professional work experience designing and/or testing custom PCBAs
  • Familiarity with automation and control equipment (Motor Drives, Sensors, ect)
  • Hands on experience with typical lab equipment and tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, soldering equipment)
  • Experience with ECAD Software (Altium Designer Preferred)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

What We’d Love To See

  • Experience designing custom electronics for industrial automation or robotics
  • Experience with high voltage electronics
  • Experience working with industrial communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, RS485, ect)
  • Experience working with embedded linux computers and/or Arm Cortex-M microcontrollers
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Care for local and global communities, and desire to make an impact through technology
  • Not afraid of robots

  • The salary range for this position is $95,000- $135,000 plus stock and benefits. Pay within the range is based on candidate experience, job-specific skills, education, and work location.
