POSITION OVERVIEW:

Fortera is seeking a Key Account Manager to join our Business Development team. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, this role combines strategic sales pipeline planning, logistics management, and maintaining a strong relationship with customers and development partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing relationships, logistics, and/or supply chain management, with a proven ability to organize internal operations, and optimize processes. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts and partnerships, addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a high level of engagement.
  • Coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management for all incoming and outgoing business development efforts.
  • Setup and manage Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as business development, marketing, product development, and operations to align strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities relevant to their key accounts, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on operations and logistics performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years’ experience working in building materials, ready-mix, concrete, chemical or construction industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field.
  • Expert proficiency in Customer Relationship Management software setup and use, such as Salesforce or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Proven experience in managing customer relationships within a logistics heavy operation.
  • Self-starter with excellent decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

COMPENSATION:

The compensation package for this role includes a competitive base salary commensurate with experience of $60,000 - $90,000 as well as an annual bonus and pre-IPO incentive stock options.
