POSITION OVERVIEW

The Industrial Engineer will lead the efforts for ISO 9100 certification for Fortera. This person will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems in accordance with the ISO 9100 standards. This role will also cover promoting a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, implement, and maintain efficient processes to enhance productivity, quality and efficiency pertinent to cement production.
Lead the ISO 9100 certification process, ensuring all procedures and standards are adhered to.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with ISO 9100 standards within the cement plant environment and lab settings.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions to address non-conformities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, R&D, and plant operators to streamline operations.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and product quality in cement production.
Utilize lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other industrial engineering tools to drive improvements specific to cement plants.
Identify potential risks within QMS related to cement production and develop mitigation requirements.
Up to 20% travel

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management and ISO 9100 certification processes, ideally within cement or heavy manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9100 standards and requirements.
Certified ISO 9100 Lead Auditor (preferred).
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
May require occasional travel to other company sites and suppliers.
Flexible working hours may be required to meet project deadlines and audit schedules.
