About this role

We’re looking for a Strategy & Operations Senior Lead to own and drive the Global Returns and Logistics strategy and key initiatives end to end, including warehouse operations.

As a Strategy & Ops leader, you will drive the planning, strategic vision, policy development, design and execution of key strategic initiatives that maximizes Faire’s ability to deliver the Returns value proposition to customers in a sustainable way. You’ll bring analytical visibility and rigor to both the redistribution channel as well as operational excellence to warehouse operations. You’ll quarterback and collaborate cross-functionally, leveraging other teams to deliver against your set strategy and goals.

This is an ideal role for someone who loves accountability and enjoys being a general athlete. You are both strategic and analytical, can take things from 0 to 1 but also hyper focused on operational excellence as we scale, and is excited about working cross-functionally with product, design, data science and engineering to implement new initiatives.

What you’ll do

  • Drive bottoms up opportunity sizing, planning, and scoping of initiatives as part of annual and medium term planning
  • Drive strategic, analytical and operational projects and be responsible for the execution, monitoring & ongoing implementation of scalable operational programs and processes
  • Serve as the single point of contact on redistribution and warehouse operations
  • Drive policy development for how to better leverage Faire’s returns value proposition
  • Own recommendation and implementation of faire’s global warehouse footprint needs
  • Develop and refine policy for Returns value proposition with significant customer and business impact
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and strategy to ensure success of team and joint company goals
  • Own performance management processes including building dashboards, monitoring, diagnosing, and reporting out on key trends across returns, redistribution and warehouse operations
  • Manage performance and relationship with 3PL and related ecosystem partners

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 7-10 years of experience in strategy and operations roles at high-growth companies; some background in management consulting, investment banking or private equity preferred but not required
  • Experience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments driving projects from strategy through implementation. You are scrappy and resourceful. When something needs to get done, you always find a way to make it happen.
  • Highly analytical and data driven -- can drive complex analyses and translate into key actionable insights; can manage projects to KPIs and metrics. Knowledge of or willingness to learn SQL
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Data Science, Product, Engineering, Sales, and other Operations teams to achieve business objectives
  • Experience developing processes and policy + managing programs/projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Passion for operational efficiency, lean six sigma preferred
  • Experience with physical good operations (ie warehousing) is preferred but not required

Salary Range

San Francisco: the pay range for this role is $181,000 - $248,500 per year.

This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
