Everlane is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant who is organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and a proactive problem solver. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will play a vital role in our monthly accounting close activities, focusing on areas such as revenue, returns, accounts receivable, and ad-hoc analyses. You will also collaborate with our data and engineering teams to enhance data integrity.

Your day-to-day:

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting across various business segments, including Revenue, Accounts Receivable, Returns, Inventory, Cost of Goods Sold, and Operating Expenses.
  • Participate in the monthly review of financial statements and provide insights on critical metrics.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to ensure data integrity in business intelligence tools.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team and cross-functional partners to develop additional controls and evaluate technology solutions to enhance internal processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reporting packages for external stakeholders.
  • Work with external and internal auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requests and support the research and analysis of audit issues raised.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses as requested by management.

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with large data sets or business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to understand and articulate the story behind your work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with various business intelligence tools.
  • Self-motivated and quick to learn, with the ability to manage, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a strong work ethic, and an analytical approach to making recommendations.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and build relationships to support company goals.

California resident: At Everlane, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. The compensation range for this role is $74,000- $105,000. This range is based on the San Francisco geographic area and the actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
