POSITION SUMMARY

eGenesis seeks a highly motivated Senior Accountant to execute the day-to-day functions of our growing finance organization. This role will assist in all aspects of the monthly close and reporting processes. As an effective collaborator in a highly visible role, the Senior Accountant will work efficiently and professionally to ensure that deliverables and deadlines are achieved. This is a full-time role based in Cambridge, MA.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accurate and timely completion of month end, quarter end and year end close responsibilities
Prepare and maintain various account reconciliations, including fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, payroll and others
Prepare journal entries and assist with the month-end closing process
Assist with preparation of financial reporting, including workpaper preparation for external audit and yearly tax return
Collaborate with all members of the company to collect necessary information in order to produce accurate financial reporting
Proactively identify and recommend improved processes for increased efficiency and better controls

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience
Experience with NetSuite preferred
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
CPA preferred
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to maintain confidential and proprietary information
Comfort with flexible and often competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic, biotechnology environment
