The Global Safety and Security team advances DoorDash through the protection of people, property, operations, brand, and reputation. We manage safety and security risk and provide value across the business through technology, and a people-first approach. Our team strives to always be in front and there for our people anytime, anywhere.

About the Role

We are hiring a Manager, Crisis Management and Resilience to build and lead the next evolution of DoorDash’s global resilience capability. This role sits at the heart of the company’s mission to safeguard people, operations, and brand trust in an increasingly complex and fast-moving world. Reporting to the Head of Global Safety and Security Operations (GSSO), you will operationalize a unified global framework that integrates governance, intelligence, and technology to ensure DoorDash can anticipate, withstand, and recover from disruption at scale. This position is pivotal in transforming resilience from a reactive function into a proactive, AI-enabled backbone that drives foresight, continuity, and confidence across the enterprise. You will oversee the systems, playbooks, and decision structures that guide crisis activation, ensuring the company responds with speed, discipline, and clarity. As a global convener and crisis governance owner, you will bridge multiple functions - Global Operations Center (GOC), Risk Intelligence, Corporate Safety, Legal, and Communications - to deliver a coordinated, intelligence-informed approach to enterprise resilience. This role also ensures continuity of leadership and decision-making authority during senior leadership absence, maintaining momentum, stability, and accountability in moments of pressure. This role will report into the Head of Global Safety and Security Operations.

You are excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Lead Enterprise Crisis Governance: Own and enhance DoorDash’s global crisis management and resilience governance framework, ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational discipline.
  • Institutionalize Predictive, AI-First Resilience: Integrate governance, intelligence, and technology into a unified system that turns reactive response into foresight-driven prevention.
  • Strengthen Global Readiness and Continuity: Design and lead enterprise-level crisis simulations, after-action reviews, and escalation protocols to validate preparedness and continuity.
  • Drive Technology and Automation Integration: Partner with Engineering, Tech Ops, and the Global Operations Center (GOC) to automate escalation thresholds, dashboards, and decision workflows.
  • Safeguard Decision Authority: Maintain crisis activation authority during leadership absence, ensuring seamless continuity and consistent governance flow across global operations.
  • Collaborate Across the Enterprise: Work closely with Risk Intelligence, Global Operations Center (GOC), Corporate Safety, Legal, and Communications to align data, foresight, and crisis response within one system of record.
  • Embed Resilience by Design: Integrate continuity and governance standards into new markets, verticals, and regulated environments as DoorDash continues global expansion.
  • Model Composed, Decisive Leadership: Lead under pressure with clarity, calm, and authority - ensuring alignment, speed, and confidence during high-stakes events.

We are excited about you because you bring…

  • Leadership and Ownership: 6+ years of experience in crisis management, business continuity, or resilience operations within a global or high-growth enterprise.
  • Bias to Action and Strategic Foresight: A proven ability to lead under ambiguity, make rapid, informed decisions, and drive enterprise-wide alignment in critical moments.
  • Systems and Governance Expertise: Deep understanding of enterprise crisis frameworks, escalation authority, and data-driven decision governance.
  • Technology and Automation Fluency: Experience with crisis and continuity platforms and familiarity with AI or automation tools that enhance resilience operations.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Demonstrated ability to align senior stakeholders across Legal, Communications, Operations, and Technology functions.
  • Operational Excellence: Experience building and testing playbooks, exercises, and escalation processes that deliver measurable improvements in readiness and response.
  • Calm and Composed Under Pressure: Strong executive presence, structured communication, and disciplined judgment during complex, high-visibility crises.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: A mindset that leverages lessons learned, data, and foresight to continually evolve enterprise resilience maturity.
  • Education and Certification: Bachelor’s degree in business continuity, emergency management, or a related discipline required; advanced degree or certification (CBCP, ISO 22301, or equivalent) preferred.

We expect this position to be filled by 6/1/26.
