About the Role
The Security Agent serves as the front-line presence for Corporate Safety & Security within a fast-paced, global technology company. This role ensures a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for employees, guests, and partners across DoorDash corporate offices.
Security Agents are responsible for access control, patrols, incident response, asset and inventory management, and daily lobby operations. As a highly visible, on-site role, this position balances customer service, security awareness, and operational discipline while building strong relationships with cross-functional partners.
As part of the on-site safety and security operations ecosystem, the Security Agent plays a critical role in protecting people, assets, and facilities while supporting business continuity in dynamic office environments.
Key Responsibilities
Access Control & Visitor Management
- Manage employee and guest badging, including badge printing, activation, and access level assignments
- Issue and track temporary badges
- Maintain visitor management processes and logs
Employee Engagement
- Act as a visible and approachable point of contact for employees and guests
- Support positive employee engagement while enforcing security policies
- Build strong working relationships with cross-functional partners including Workplace, IT, HR, and Security teams
Security Operations & Patrol
- Serve as a visible on-site security presence supporting daily lobby and facility operations
- Monitor access control systems and respond to unauthorized access attempts
- Support audits, compliance checks, and post order execution
Incident Response & Safety
- Serve as a first responder for on-site incidents,, unauthorized access, and security concerns
- De-escalate situations involving employees, vendors, and guests
- Escalate incidents per established SOPs and document outcomes
- Support after-hours, weekend, and holiday response as business needs require
Asset & Inventory Management
- Manage and audit physical assets, including laptops and other high-value equipment
- Oversee inventory for badging supplies, and consumables
- Security screen mail and deliveries
- Maintain accurate inventory and asset documentation
Documentation, Compliance & Technology
- Maintain SOPs, post orders, incident reports, and audit records
- Ensure adherence to corporate safety, security, and compliance standards
- Utilize access control systems for badge management and monitoring
- Maintain case notes and documentation using Jira and internal tools
- Leverage Google Workspace for reporting and communication
- Demonstrate AI fluency to improve operational efficiency and documentation
Additional Duties
- Support special projects, audits, or operational needs as assigned
- Provide security and access support for in-office events, executive visits, meetings, and other on-site activations
- Assist with credentialing, crowd flow, and safety monitoring during higher-volume office days or events
- Travel up to 5% as required for training or business support
Schedule & Work Environment
- On-site role
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- After-hours, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs
About You
- 2+ years of experience in security operations, front desk security, or corporate safety roles, preferably within a technology, corporate, or high-growth office environment
- CPR and AED certification required; current EMT or equivalent medical response experience a plus
- Strong situational awareness and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with access control systems and visitor management tools
- Comfortable handling sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace; experience with Jira and access control platforms preferred
- Ability to de-escalate conflict and respond effectively to incidents
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly and professionally in English
