About the Team

The Dasher & Logistics team is responsible for ensuring every delivery is completed with speed, accuracy and a positive Consumer, Merchant and Dasher experience. Our Dasher & Logistics team owns initiatives that touch all parts of the Dasher life cycle ranging from supply & demand, cost & quality, Dasher pay, Dasher retention, order batching and beyond. We care about metrics like delivery times, cost per order, dasher compensation, cancellations and many more!

About the Role

The Strategy & Operations Senior Associate role is for individuals with an ownership mentality who enjoy getting into the weeds and really understanding some of our toughest problems, developing a solution, collaborating across the organization, and executing to bring strategies to life. In this role, you will support all initiatives that focus on ensuring we deliver a high quality experience on every delivery. You will analyze the details of our delivery lifecycle to understand pain points for the three sides of our marketplace and determine how to improve our operations moving forward. You will think about quality and cost while also figuring out what is best for our Dashers.

You will report into our Strategy & Operations Manager on our Dasher & Logistics team.

  • Learn - Learn how a highly complex, three-sided marketplace operates, gaining deep insight into the levers that drive performance, cost, and quality across Consumers, Merchants, and Dashers
  • Grow professionally - There is room for professional development and to own additional scope and special projects related to Dasher and Logistics side of the business

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 3+ years work experience in banking, consulting, Business Operations, Strategy, operations, technology, startups, STEM fields or related experience.
  • You’re analytical – you can dive into the data, independently structure an analysis, and draw the most important insights.
  • You work in Excel or Google Sheets regularly to analyze data and have advanced SQL skills and can maintain complex spreadsheets.
  • You’re a problem solver – you can translate high-level goals into actionable plans
  • You’re a generalist – you seek exposure to different types of problems and want to try your hand at different sides of the business.
  • You are a self starter – you bias towards action and excel in a fast-paced environment and evolving business.
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

See below for paid time off details:

  • For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
  • For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
