About the Team
Our Growth Marketing team drives acquisition and engagement by connecting consumers, dashers, and merchants with meaningful, personalized experiences. The Media Buying team plays a critical role in scaling DoorDash’s performance marketing engine, managing global paid digital channels and ensuring media investments deliver measurable business outcomes.
As the Senior Manager of Media Buying, you’ll lead a team of ~20 performance marketers, including three direct manager reports, responsible for hands-on campaign management & operations, optimization, and media innovation across our North American markets (US and Canada). You’ll deliver operational excellence, help shape our in-house media strategy, and drive channel innovation at scale.
About the Role
You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end management of our media buying operations and execution, spanning planning & intake, execution, optimization, and performance measurement. You’ll collaborate with our central performance marketing team in the US, as well as cross-functionally with data, analytics, and product teams to drive efficient growth and advance our in-house media capabilities.

- Lead and develop a high-performing team: Manage and mentor three managers and their teams (totaling ~20 people), fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and operational excellence.
- Scale in-house media operations: Build and optimize best-in-class processes, tools, and workflows that enable efficiency, accuracy, and innovation across markets.
- Drive media execution & operations while improving performance: Oversee campaign execution across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and emerging channels, ensuring alignment with business goals and ROI targets.
- Ensure operational excellence: Establish world-class performance standards and implement frameworks for budgeting, pacing, and QA across teams.
- Partner with central performance marketing org & cross-functionally: Work closely with US performance marketing team to execute on strategic initiatives across paid media channels, and work with MarTech team to enhance attribution, automate reporting, and develop tools for spend optimization.
- Champion innovation: Identify and test new platforms, channels, and bidding strategies that unlock incremental growth.
We’re Excited About You Because You Have:
- 10+ years of experience in performance marketing, including direct experience managing large-scale media budgets across multiple digital channels and markets.
- Proven leadership experience (5+ years) managing managers and scaling teams of 10+.
- Deep expertise in media buying operations, optimization, and measurement across Meta, Google, and TikTok Ads.
- A track record of building and scaling in-house media functions or agency teams.
- Strong analytical acumen—comfortable using data to drive insights, strategy, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
- Fluency in English and Spanish
