About the Team

The mission of our Retention Marketing team is to build lasting relationships with our audiences — consumers, Dashers, and merchants — from the moment they engage with DoorDash. We do this by delivering personalized, cross-channel experiences that drive loyalty, strengthen engagement, and help each audience find the products and services most relevant to them.

The Dasher Retention team focuses on helping Dashers succeed on the platform and feel supported at every stage of their journey. We do this through targeted lifecycle communications that educate, activate, and re-engage Dashers, while aligning fleet health with business goals.

About the Role

As the Senior Manager of Dasher Lifecycle Marketing, you will lead the team responsible for the end-to-end CRM strategy that supports Dashers across their full lifecycle, from onboarding through late-stage re-engagement. You will manage a team of eight and collaborate with Product, Integrated Marketing, Analytics, Campaign Operations, Supply and Operations, and Engineering to design high-impact programs that drive Dasher activation, quality, satisfaction, and retention.

You will own the development and execution of CRM programs across email, push, SMS, and in-app messaging. You will also lead the team’s campaign strategy, oversee performance measurement, and advance personalization through improved tooling, targeting, and data infrastructure.

This role sits on the Dasher audience team, with a core objective of improving Dasher engagement, fleet quality, and retention. You will report into the Director of Lifecycle Marketing on our Growth Marketing team within the Marketing organization.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Own the full CRM lifecycle strategy for Dashers, including onboarding, activation, engagement, and churn mitigation
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of eight Lifecycle Marketers who build and execute campaigns that drive business results and fleet health
  • Oversee all CRM programs and campaigns, ensuring they deliver a cohesive, personalized, and effective Dasher experience
  • Partner with Campaign Operations to ensure all lifecycle campaigns are launched with consistency, speed, and high quality
  • Lead the development of quarterly and annual CRM roadmaps and strategic plans that align with Dasher business priorities
  • Partner with Analytics to define KPIs, analyze performance, and develop clear benchmarks and reporting rituals
  • Collaborate with Product, Supply and Operations, Integrated Marketing, and Engineering to scope and launch cross-functional initiatives that scale personalization, education, and operational efficiency
  • Advance technical and strategic CRM capabilities by improving targeting logic, creative tooling, journey management, and experimentation infrastructure
  • Drive innovation in personalization and automation by partnering with MarTech, Engineering, and Analytics to unlock new levers and channels
  • Represent lifecycle marketing in roadmap planning, leadership reviews, and cross-functional working groups

We’re excited about you because…

  • 8 or more years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, retention, or growth marketing
  • 3 or more years of experience managing high-performing teams with a focus on ownership, accountability, and results
  • A track record of delivering business impact through cross-channel marketing programs, including onboarding, engagement, and churn mitigation
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with experience influencing across Product, Analytics, Operations, and Engineering
  • Hands-on experience with CRM technology platforms such as Braze, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar ESPs and segmentation tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into insights and actions. SQL proficiency is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
  • A growth mindset, a collaborative spirit, and a bias for action
