About the Team
The Consumer Promotions team drives value for customers by developing strategic seasonal and evergreen promotional campaigns that help users discover and try new restaurants, products, and services across DoorDash. We measure success by how effectively and efficiently these campaigns drive growth, enhance customer experience, and support business priorities across lines of business—including the US Marketplace, New Verticals, and DashPass.
About the Role
DoorDash is seeking a Senior Manager, Consumer Promotions Strategy & Campaign Operations to lead our promotional strategy across our core business units. This leader will define the vision for high-impact, measurable promotions—balancing business goals with customer value, and enabling scalable growth across US Marketplace, New Verticals (e.g., Grocery, Retail), and DashPass.
You will be responsible for forecasting and sizing promotional opportunities, creating standard measurement and governance frameworks, and promoting consistent adoption of strategic best practices across functions. You’ll leverage data, AI, and experimentation to evolve personalization, targeting, and campaign structures. This is a highly cross-functional leadership role reporting to the Head of Campaign Operations and overseeing a 10+ person team.

Lead Strategy & Gain Organizational Buy-in
- Define and articulate the long-term vision for consumer promotions aligned to the unique growth goals of US Marketplace, New Verticals, and DashPass.
- Build followership for strategic best practices by aligning stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
- Champion the adoption of scalable promotional principles and frameworks that align incentives and streamline decision-making.
Drive Forecasting & Campaign Sizing
- Lead promotional forecasting efforts in collaboration with Finance and Analytics, ensuring that campaign plans are tightly scoped, measurable, and tied to clear ROI expectations.
- Own end-to-end sizing of promotional investments—from customer-level incentive design to enterprise-level budget allocation—balancing cost efficiency and strategic impact.
Enable AI-Powered Personalization & Testing
- Identify and champion opportunities to use AI and predictive analytics to tailor promotions by audience, cohort, and channel.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering to implement experimentation infrastructure, enabling rapid A/B testing and ongoing performance refinement.
Standardize Measurement & Centralize Governance
- Collaborate with Data Science and Performance Marketing to develop standardized methodologies for promotion attribution and impact measurement across omnichannel campaigns.
- Design and manage centralized governance processes to ensure promotion consistency, prevent errors, and enforce cross-functional accountability.
Develop & Lead a High-Performing Team
- Build and develop a team of Promotions Strategists and Analysts, focusing on analytical excellence, commercial acumen, and cross-functional leadership.
- Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and results-driven experimentation.
We’re excited about you because…
- Experience: You bring 8+ years in consumer promotions, revenue strategy, growth marketing, or pricing—with 4+ years in people leadership roles.
- Business Acumen: You have successfully led high-stakes strategy across diverse business lines with different customer behaviors and KPIs.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience working with Product and Engineering teams to improve capabilities of internal tools and customer-facing products. Excel proficiency required, ability to query databases with SQL a plus.
- Analytical Leadership: You are highly data-literate, with strong SQL and Excel skills, and have led teams through complex analysis and modeling efforts. You are fluent in forecasting and campaign sizing and have experience partnering with Finance, Product, and Analytics to quantify outcomes and investments.
- AI & Innovation Focus: You understand how to use AI to drive personalization, targeting, and experimentation at scale—and are excited to shape what’s next.
- Cross-Functional Influence: You know how to influence across matrixed organizations and have a track record of gaining alignment to drive change with clear communication and cross-functional planning.

Compensation
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

- For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
