DoorDash
About the Team
The DoorDash Global Payroll Team is on a mission to deliver accurate, timely, and seamless payroll experiences that support our employees across North America and beyond. We operate at the intersection of Accounting, Equity, HR, Compensation, Legal, and Tax, which gives us a unique opportunity to create value across the organization. Our team plays a critical role in ensuring every employee is paid correctly and on time, while driving scalable, tech-forward payroll solutions. We’re in an exciting period of growth, working to build the framework to operate payroll at scale for one of the fastest-growing companies.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Payroll Analyst to join our North America Payroll Team, supporting the execution of US and Canadian payroll operations. This role focuses on high-quality execution of recurring payroll processes and supports medium-complexity projects aligned with the team’s key results. As a Payroll Analyst, you will work closely with your teammates and cross-functional partners to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and employee satisfaction.
You will report to the NORAM, Payroll Manager and serve as an important contributor, while strengthening your understanding of both operational and technical payroll processes.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Execute regular payroll processing tasks for US and Canada with precision and timeliness, including audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Serve as a process owner, proactively identifying and implementing payroll process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Partner with internal teams (HRIS, Benefits, Legal, Equity) and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues.
- Support payroll-related projects of moderate complexity, such as compliance updates, audit prep, or payroll calendar transitions.
- Identify and flag workflow gaps, escalate to the appropriate teams, and contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing efforts.
- Develop your knowledge of North American payroll operations while learning scalable practices in a high-growth, fast-moving environment.
We’re excited about you because…
- You bring 3+ years of hands-on experience processing complex, multi-state US payrolls (Canadian payroll experience is a plus but not required).
- You are tech-savvy, with proficiency in payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, or similar platforms, and advanced Excel or Google Sheet skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- You are a proactive problem solver who identifies root causes and implements scalable, best-practice solutions with minimal direction.
- You are collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- You are developing expertise in payroll fundamentals and are eager to expand your scope and take on new challenges.
We expect this position to be filled by 9/9/2025.
