About the Team

New Verticals is an exciting team at DoorDash within Merchant Experience org that is building and scaling new ways to create and update catalogs for Merchants to sell to our customers on the DoorDash platform. New Verticals include the DashMart, Convenience, Alcohol, Grocery, and Retail businesses. These categories bring about new challenges and opportunities to build something at DoorDash from the ground up. Our team ensures quality for ~30 different workflows while supporting the Vendor Management team, Strategy & Operations as well as other cross functional partners. We primarily work in JIRA, Google Sheets and MODE/SQL as well as internal DoorDash tools.

About the Role

As a Merchant Experience Supervisor at DoorDash, you will play a multifaceted role that combines team leadership, strategic planning, and project management. You will help guide and implement strategies to enhance catalog quality, work on challenging problems, and you'll set goals to track the success of the team. This role is for someone skilled at collaborating with business partners or stakeholders and influencing workstreams that support our organization's goals. We're looking for someone who will actively contribute to enhance operational efficiency, define and set team OKRs, KPIs, and goals. You will report directly into the Merchant Experience Manager. This role will be hybrid. International travel is required.

  • Lead a team of motivated individuals who are focused on customer success in order to deliver on operational KPIs
  • Own your team’s performance; hold weekly 1:1s to review performance, as well as provide feedback & coaching
  • Conduct bi-weekly 1:1s with specialists to provide guidance and coaching
  • Assess and establish goals for individuals and the broader team
  • Coordinate daily workflow within the team and adjust resources to meet service level agreements with the business
  • Lead weekly team meetings; prepare slides and present during weekly business reviews
  • Clearly and consistently communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Develop impactful projects and report on performance
  • Work with other partners to ensure the success of the team
  • Operate as a Subject Matter Expert by creating, distributing, and presenting performance reports in order to identify trends and highlight opportunities for improvement
