About the Team

Storefront is DoorDash’s first software-as-a-service product: A white label online ordering platform that enables merchants to accept first party orders from their own customers straight from their website, with delivery and fulfillment powered by DoorDash.

The Storefront Design team is on a mission to empower merchants to easily and efficiently operate their business, grow sales, and build lasting relationships with their customers online and off.

Storefront is at a pivotal point of growth. We are expanding fast and defining the vision and strategy for the future of Storefront as we build our teams. We're looking for designers who are excited to drive product strategy for a new product and build zero to one experiences.

About the Role

As a senior product designer on the Storefront consumer engagement team, you will own a growing suite of products allowing merchants to engage their customers across their digital ordering channels such as web and app. Your work will help merchants increase sales, create a sense of community and extend their hospitality to digital channels. You will define the strategy and design vision for uncharted areas like omni-channel loyalty, dine-in engagement, marketing automation and customization. You will work with a diverse team of product managers, developers, researchers, content strategists and more, to build an outstanding and differentiated consumer experience.

We are still in an early stage, which means you'll have opportunities to shape our culture and process from the ground up, and work on big, meaningful design problems.

You'll report to our Director of Merchant Design in our Merchant Design team in our Product Design org. This role is hybrid, working 2-3 days a week onsite and the rest working from home.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Own the user experience of products end-to-end, including contributing to product strategy, running design sprints, and crafting visions
  • Work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and other disciplines to build and ship your designs
  • Deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities
  • Create, collaborate, and refine flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
  • Design and ship high quality product improvements

We're excited about you because…

  • You are a senior-level IC with 5+ years of work experience
  • You enjoy working in ambiguous problem spaces, and bring clarity to your teams through your mastery of the design process (and the occasional design sprint)
  • You are passionate about driving product strategy and vision for new product areas
  • You skilfully balance strategy, research, interaction design, and visual design to achieve simple and elegant solutions
  • You value high quality well crafted visual design, and care about the details
