About the Role
We’re looking to hire an Associate on our DashMart Master Data Strategy & Operations team who will lead governance of the master data that drives reliable and accurate replenishment and inventory costing. You will build processes and systems to store and update master data, with a focus on developing approaches that capture the complexity of our data and drive completeness and accuracy. You will establish strong partnerships with internal (Supply Chain, Ops, Category Management, Product, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, AP) and external (Vendors, Tech Partners) stakeholders. You will report into a Manager on our Master Data Strategy & Operations team.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Develop an understanding of the DashMart business
- Use SQL to build new tooling, develop new views and reporting to capture vendor specific catalog complexities
- Develop metrics to deep-dive trends and debug issues, and create strategy for improvement opportunities for existing process and metrics
- Become an expert on all things catalogs and cost management: able to troubleshoot issues and also understand whether your key metrics are improving or degrading, why, and what we can do about it.
- Work with vendor management, Data Engineering, and supply chain teams to identify opportunities to improve
We're excited about you because…
- You have 1+ years of experience in Tech, supply-chain, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related field
- You are proficient in SQL and Excel and have experience using data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Sigma, etc.)
- You are curious and enjoy solving challenging and ambiguous problems
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Build. You’ll manage and develop sustainable processes, tools, and systems to enable our Supply Chain team to make data-driven decisions with reliable, high quality data.
- Test. You’ll implement and test controls in the process to validate data.
- Own. You’ll own projects, fostering best practices to ensure adherence to our data quality principles.
- Collaborate. You’ll work closely with Product, Operations, and Accounting to build scalable systems and processes to support all business partners.
- Communicate. You’re comfortable communicating with external stakeholders, gathering information from a variety of sources, and communicating translation into our internal systems.
We’re excited about you because…
- You’re a data expert. You love working with data, are comfortable working independently in SQL to root cause problems and implement data-quality-centric solutions.
- You solve problems from first principles. You're excited to solve problems in innovative ways, and you resist "this is how it's always been done" thinking.
- You're unafraid of ambiguity. Rapid change and learning is exciting to you, and you thrive in ambiguous, startup environments
- You're an owner. You are detail-oriented and organized, and not afraid to get your hands dirty to “do what it takes” to get things done.
- You have 1+ years of experience. You've succeeded in high-performance cultures (whether in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience).
