About the Role

As a People Technology Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions that meet the HR needs of DoorDash. You will work cross functionally across the people team and the business to understand requirements, develop technical solutions, and provide guidance throughout the implementation process. Overall, the Solution Architect at DoorDash should be a strategic thinker who can lead projects, optimize technology solutions, and maintain the overall People Tech and Analytics roadmap.

  • Work highly cross-functionally with all levels of leadership to ascertain the right technology solutions to support and grow the People Technology and Analytics function supporting the global business.
  • Dive deep to uncover underlying issues or business problems and turn those issues into solutions
  • Rigorously document system and reporting requirements and configuration to build operational excellence with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Create, maintain, and execute testing plans and rollout strategies with company-wide impact
  • Ensure data integrity by understanding and identifying opportunities to improve, working closely with cross-functional teams
  • Provide technical guidance to vendors and internal stakeholders throughout the implementation process.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and architectural diagrams of current and future systems
  • Stay up to date with the latest people technologies and industry trends.
  • Lead identifying and implementing new opportunities for automation, self service, and process improvement and work together to implement them.
  • Drive the design process, including conducting technical presentations and demonstrations.

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 4+ years of experience as a program manager or solutions architect on a technical team, ideally in the People space
  • You have a BA/BS degree in quantitative, business, or related technical fields, or equivalent work experience
  • You’re familiar with People data, including privacy and other regulatory considerations
  • You have deep expertise working with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) and complex data pipelines connecting a myriad of systems. Working familiarity with AWS, Databricks, and similar is a plus!
  • You have experience leveraging technical languages (SQL, R, Python, Javascript, etc.) to solve problems.
  • You have experience leveraging systems (Workday, Greenhouse, etc.) to solve problems.
  • You see around corners and know how to avoid risk and missteps
  • You know how to optimize and improve processes while designing for scale
  • You are a self-motivated, rapid learner, excited about developing your analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You are results-oriented, always evaluating whether our team's activities are achieving the desired, measurable impact
  • You are comfortable and thrive in a fast-paced, continually changing team-oriented environment, and able to manage multiple deadlines concurrently
  • You have strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills

Compensation

The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.
