About the Role
We’re hiring a Simulation Software Engineer in our autonomy software team. In this role, you’ll work with multiple stakeholders including Product, Engineering (hardware and software), and Operations to develop and improve our simulation engine and infrastructure. You’ll be researching, designing and implementing enhancements as a core member of the team.

- Play an integral role on a small and focused team
- Design and implement an autonomous agent simulator including:
- Dynamic agent behaviors
- Scenario generation strategies
- Design and build pipelines for:
- Simulation based on robot data and/or synthetically-generated scenarios
- Large-scale simulations in the cloud
- Design and create metrics to evaluate robot performance
- Collaborate with autonomy teams and operations to build tools for extensive simulation coverage, working together to ensure the safety of our autonomous vehicles
We’re excited about you because you have…
- In-depth knowledge of data structures and advanced algorithms
- Strong C++ experience
- MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, or related technical field
- Domain knowledge in at least one of the following areas: simulation, game development, robotics

Compensation
The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.
