We are seeking Additive Manufacturing Engineers to revolutionize precision investment casting and metal additive repair for advanced Aerospace and Defense components. This is a very hands-on, active position in cutting edge advanced manufacturing! Note: a US Citizenship is required for this position. Non-citizens and green card holders do not qualify and should not apply.
Responsibilities:
- Design complex components for investment casting
- Generate digital data for printing using the company’s proprietary digital design workflows.
- Operate, maintain and calibrate our industrial 3D printing machines.
- Inspect and measure 3D printed parts using digital metrology tools.
- Operate ancillary equipment including furnaces for sintering, heat treatment and melting.
- Prepare, formulate and characterize materials.
- Collect data, perform data analysis and prepare written reports/presentations.
- Improve existing processes/workflows and develop new processes/workflows for improved efficiencies.
- Demonstrate excellent teamsmanship in a high performing technical team.
Qualifications:
- US Citizenship is required for this position (A green card is not sufficient)
- Undergraduate or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering is required. A GPA of 3.5+ is strongly preferred.
- Strong skills with state-of-the-art CAD software including Solidworks, Autodesk Fusion, NX, Catia, is required.
- Prior experience with Additive Manufacturing, especially stereolithography (SLA and DLP SLA), metal powder based 3D printing (SLM, DMLS, DMLM), fused deposition modeling (FDM) is required.
- Experience with part inspection and dimensional metrology or quality assurance is required.
- Experience working in an industrial or process manufacturing environment is required.
- Experience in advanced manufacturing environments such as Aerospace and Defense manufacturing, industrial 3D printing or additive manufacturing, metal casting foundry, semiconductor manufacturing, battery manufacturing, solar cell manufacturing, and industrial or technical ceramics manufacturing is required.
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a high growth high technology startup company is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience working with high-end industrial manufacturing equipment and tools is required.
- Hands-on experience in chemical handling in an industrial setting is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with precision machine design for industrial manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Attention to detail, good record-keeping and data collection skills are necessary.
- Prior experience with robotics, automation, programming and programmable logic, and embedded electronics is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in an environment involving high-pressure deadlines is a must.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must.
- Ability to integrate with and work well in cross-disciplinary teams is a must.
- Strong motivation to learn new skills and state-of-the-art technological developments is a must.
